My truck gets 10-13 MPG no matter how I drive. Yes, it has a 5.0 and it is AWD with 31's, but 10-13 MPG? It doen't matter if I drive nicely or aggressivly. I get the same mileage. I have no lights on and it starts like it should and it doen't studder or anything. I DO smell a LITTLE excess exhaust but it really is not that bad.

What don't you get? Your driving habits probably don't change, so you don't see any difference. Try it with a few hundred pound sacks of sand in the cargo area to see if it's changing. I don't see any difference either, I don't look anymore... my pockets are lighter after each trip to fill up... Funny thing, there was a whole new row of gas siphons at a car parts place... wonder why? Good luck!

Cleaned your MAF sensor lately?

You could also try re-gearing to the point where your 31's are equal to that of stock gearing.

LOL:D So, there is pretty much nothing I can do?

One thing I did notice... It has true dual exhaust, but no x-pipe to balance the cylinders. Would that matter...

And I do have 160,000 miles...

That was a hint...

(Get a siphon... when gas prices hit $5.00, it'll be free for us :shifty_ey Just be careful, and no one can see this message but you and I) :)

someone is trying to tell me that it is probably the tps
he claims that he is ase certified... whatever

Could be -
You might go to a inexpensive exhaust shop and have them check your cats-maybe they are clogged. They can weld a bung in upstream of them and check the backpressure--

What should the mileage be for your vehicle?

IDK...I am guessing 15-20...

No added items, step bars, larger tires or rims... all stock?

You live in Florida...

an inexpensive what? I dont know any inexpensive shops for anything...well, maybe tire mounting

You don't have anything inexpensive there... They just tell you to hava cafecito and wait til they're done... like CA, only no cafecitos :(

Hell, most shops around here will charge you at least $18 per tire.

yeah, it is expensive...
mounting is like $4-6 depending where you go and balancing is like $3-5.

ANYWAYS... does anyone have suggestions besides clogged cats? Can I check them myself???
I think I can rule out the MAF since my truck runs fine... am I right?
