i haven't startedf my explorer over 16 months what should i do?

Hello my name is boomer

I bought my 94 explorer XLT with 162,000 miles in April 2008 i drove it to my garage about 28 miles, the engine sounded great and ran great then the last time i started it in July, 2008 it's been sitting in the garage so i haven't started my explorer over 16 months what should i do?
I'm scared to start it up because the oil has been sitting all this time!
Are there any procedures that i need to do before turning the key?

Dont start it with the gas thats in it and change the oil, other then that should be good to go. Start it with new gas and maybe run an injector cleaner through it just to make sure.

Definitely change the oil and filter--
Then
Add a bottle of "HEET" to the fuel

Pull the fuel pump relay, and crank the engine until the oil pressure gauge comes up. Then replace the relay and start the truck.

thanks alot for your comments guys i wasn't able to get on the net since i posted had a problem with my computer, i'm going to do what you guys posted plus i'm going to change the fuel filter and spark plugs

Next time it's going to sit for a long time without running it put some Stabil fuel stabilizer in the tank.
