Imagine that, I went offloading. My son conned me into towing his Jeep up to North Central Florida. We meet up with 7 other Jeeps and did some trails and mud pits in the Croome Management area.

There was one “real” rock crawler “Jeep” that was doing things that I thought impossible. The ride is to be featured in an upcoming off road magazine.

He could climb a 75-80 degree vertical wall about 18 feet tall. Damn, the boy was impressed.

Next time your son lets you borrow his camera make sure it's not in posterization mode :p

Did you like it?

It was a ton of fun.Though, its not something I want to do with my current Explorer, I might want to build an offroad only truck in the near future,

I am going with my son to Telleco in a few weeks.

In a few weeks? Which week are you going?

Where's Croome?

We've been to Jasper, Inverness, Mayo and Ocala Nat. Forest.

I spelled it wrong, imagine that!, its Croom and it near Brooksville. Its a huge management area.

That's close - well - compared to everywhere else we've gone...

What kind of terrain did you guys come across? It sounds like it would be a good place for the offroad guys down here to visit.

The woods trails are heavy sand, gullies, wash outs, There are several sink holes ( 100 ft deep with steep sides to climb. Several nud pits.

There are other treai;s in the Green Swamp a cpuple miles away. We did not do them due to time.

We plan to go back up there the weekend after Easter, you are more than welcome as is anyone else.
