...keys were in my jacket on the passenger seat, and the car wouldn't lock.
and after trying to lock it 3 times I went " uH OHHHHHhhh... whew!

Probably (way) more common than you think. It's for that reason that I am in the habit of always putting my keys in my front pants pocket. I figure that if I take my pants off in the car and leave them in the front seat, I have bigger problems than locking myself out of my car...

You have the door access code to get in if you lock yourself out.
 






...totally forgot about the door code - I'm memorizing the number today...

You can add a number to the factory number.. it is easier to remember something you pick then the master number.
