installed cd player, speedometer won't work

i wired a new cd player(replaced the stock am/fm & cassette) to the exsisting stock stereo system in my 98 explorer. Afterwards, my speedometer stoped working...What do i do?

Check over your wiring in case anything got cut that shouldnt of, or connected to wrong way... i have no idea were you would go from there since i dont know if the 98 speedo is electric or has the cable.
