I have been wanting to install some headrest monitors on my 99 mountaineer, but they are the single piece headrest. I found this link that describes how to do them, but its for a F150.

http://www.truckinweb.com/tech/electrical/0711tr_headrest_monitor_install/index.html

I cant really install them on the top of the roof since I have a sunroof and I dont want to replace a brand new head unit in the dash for one with a screen, and I want it to be seen easliy by the people in the back.

Any ideas or thoughts before I try and tackle this one? I remember reading someone not suggest it because there is a bar in the back of the seat?

Thxs again for any help !

Mate , There is a guy in Australia who has done that. I know he posted photo's and the like so it is in the forums somewhere Cheers Foxy

it states in that writeup that they simply cut out the steel that was in the way. easy as pie.

Not sure

I read the write up with the link I posted but wasnt sure if the seats would be any different since that was a F150 and mine is a mountaineer?

That write up was for the removable head rest and not for the permanent ones sadly :(

If I cut any bars or anything out do you guys think that would harm the seat any?
