the 6th and 7th digits of the vin represent chassis and body type

U= Explorer/Mountaineer
34= 4x4 Standard 4 door
X= 241 ci 4.0l engine with SFI
9= Check Digit
R= 1994 model year
U= Louisville, KY
E73606= digit 12 uses the letter A until the production or sequence of 99999 units (digits 13-17) is reached. Letter A then becomes B for the next production sequence of vehicles....
