- 1993 Ford Explorer XLT
Hi all,
I've been searching threads on here back to 2002 looking for a reasonable jacking point with a heavy duty floor jack and a spot for jack stands on the front of a 1993 Ford Explorer XLT. I've found lots of explanations on here but without pictures I have no idea what these spots they speak of are. I do not have the original owners manual but the one sheet I found says to use the shock, but this wont work with my floor jack very well. I've tried to use the spot right under neath the fender like you would with a car, but obviously this spot isnt designed to hold a the load on an SUV like it is with a car. I've used one spot underneath near one of the cradle bolts with a bushing right above it, this piece was immediately behind the front tire. Any input appreciated.
