at $30.00 a set, just go with it.

Seeeeereee--usly, its just plug wires baby  :D

just plug wires?
Some wires are WAY better then others. Sorry I dont have a reveiw for ya on these, but I can tell you Taylor Wires or Motocraft wires are a good idea.

Yea, but Taylor are $100.00

I use Motorcraft on Mutineer. Tried MSD, but they dont make any for the 5.0 with the Coil Box.

I say give it a shot. 30 bucks is NOTHING for plug wires...

Just be careful where you route them, as we all know, not much room and not too many safe way to route the wires in these puppies.

Good Luck!!!

The jegs wires will serve you will for several yrs, they are not magic things, they conduct electricity is all,go for them on your budget

Those wires will not include the electrode needed to contact into the coil pack
Motorcraft or Taylor are the way to go, they are both manufactured by Taylor anyway

A while ago my friend who used to work at a European parts place somehow got me some German plug wires. I dont remember what the name of the company that made it was but its been working since :D .. ze jeuumanss - pretty good quality too

How do you know that? Doesn't say it in the ad.

Buy 'em and find out for yourself

Been there done that
That really didn't answer the question.
Are you saying that you tried these wires and that's how you got 'em. Or did you get a different brand you had to assemble your self and they forgot the clips? I've built my own wires in the past and had no problem.

If so that doesn't make a whole lot of sense why they would sell them that way. Where do you get the clips from?

Go look at the end thet clips into the coil pack. The male electrode is what i'm referring to, along with the clips at the end. I had no luck making a set for my engine, and had to settle for motorcraft stock, from o'reilly's.
I'm really trying to help, don't want to see you waste money.
I have no ignition probs at all, and I have a pretty high rpm application.
Stock 70 dollar wires

Now I understand. These wires will only work with a distributor and not the coil packs. Thanks JT, But next time please be a little more explicit.

I called them to get my answer.

Wow that really limits the choices on wires when you look at it that way.

I bought a set of Bocsh wires, ( stainless core) like the old Kem wires I use to buy. I loved the Kem's, I hope the Bocsh dont let me down. They ran me about $60 from Autozone.

Bosch wires

Hi,
They are for my 98 5.0, which when I get the time will go in. I have already gathered alot of parts to put in, its not as easy to gather the time.

Buy plug wires based on how long you will keep the truck. If you are selling it soon, buy something cheap like the parts stores have. If you are keeping the vehicle, buy the best that you can afford. Motorcraft and Taylor are near the top, choose the best price and/or warantee.

I chose the best, planning for long term, and high horsepower. Magnacor http://www.magnecor.com/ are the best of all, they don't push missleading ads(resistance), and will last the longest. The price is also tops, they went up last year, now they cost $150 for the V8. Good luck,
