Since i last posted (was banned for posting in tom's tool thread http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1779149&postcount=2 ) i have done quite a bit to the explorer....

i still get code p0420 from time to time....

it passed smog thoguh! didn't trip... actually tripped about an hour before i took it in for the smog test.... still to this day ocassionally trips

so i havent gotten a chance to install my test epc yet.... plan to do it soon....

i have installed alignment cams, replaced the tbar bolts with new revised part # stock bolts, and cranked them, had an alignemnt done, located a matching alloy (now have a set of 4 from a 91-94X), and had my tires balanced...also installed an AAL... 31" bfg at KO

also have a fullsize spare under the truck, 31" bfg at (old style) on the stock steel 15x6" steel rim... 31s do fit under the truck in the stock location, it is very tight though, it probably would not fit if i got a trailer hitch, it is pretty much shoehorned in

well, the explorer may be dead!!!!

long story short, it was raining outside, i was driving to work, hydroplaned, some spinning, hit k-rail, some more spinning, ended up on the drivers side.. and this was going 65 on the freeway (limit)... only 2 windows on the whole truck broke rear drivers side glass and drivers door, the rear right 1/4 behind the tire is munched, other than that, all doors still open/close, all 4 tires have air.... pics will come sometime soon....

yeah it sucked, im ok, just a bit jumpy right now.....

i do want to keep it, but its still in my parents name, and they dont want to keep it...

i am very blessed that i am ok, i just have a slight headache today, but that is to be expected figuring a high speed rollover

i will get pics when i get them, not high on my priority list right now...

while the chp was there, someone plowed into their crusier too! that was wierd seeing that firsthand, looked like it happened in slow motion

...glad you are ok but bummer about your truck...:(

That's a shame, but good to hear that you are well.

If you do want to keep it, your best chance will be if you can find some repair parts quickly, plus the labor to do it fairly. Good luck,

Ooooof -- glad you're okay.

it isnt that bad considering i rolled it onto the drivers side... doors still open, most windows are intact, even the windshield is ok, and the windshield is usually the first window to bust out

my dad said earlier that 1 of my trucks has to go that he isnt letting me keep 2 pieces of junk.... so looks like i keep the explorer or toyota.... we'll see... but i am not going to work on the explorer until i know i am going to get to keep it or not... ugh.....

i told them i wanted a spare car jsut to have, he told me, the ranger they are letting me use right now is the family spare car and thats all they want to have...

the explorer isn't in my name, we never got that far, it is still in their name... and since i am still living here for a few more months up to a year depending on school, and it is their car, it's out of my control... :(

yeah i am ok..... just bummed... it almost ruined my christmas, my wife didn't even want to talk to me afterwards.... she is still pretty upset with me

Ditto, ouch, and I know how that feels. I killed my first nice car in 1997, I was depressed for a while. Take it easy and concentrate on normal things, think of the future, not the past. Take care,
