106 degree wheelin
It was hot but I decided WTH and drove down behind the brush dump to the river bottoms.
There are quite a few well established, yet tight trails , several not so established trails and several more " used to be" trails running through the tangled mess right on the river edge. The river makes a bend so the banks are pretty steep, however once down there you have a huge gravel bar to fish from, and even camp overnight without worry of bother.
Here we are going in
Up and around this. The left side is steeper. Right behind the tree is the bank, with a "used to be" trail which was about 10' high and just about straight down. Meant to go up but that tree is right there to surprise ya if you aren't on your toes.
view from back side of tree, where the used to be trail goes down.
continuing on
heres the easy way down to the river
I got out to take these pictures
gravel bar
Then I got back in to move and got right back out again because-yeah I didn't lock my hubs in yet.
kinda sandy here. Looking back up the path that got ya down.
more gravel bar
OK look how high the banks are, and straight up
Here is where the harder trail used to be. Once you get up there the tree is right in the midde so if you don't know exactly where you are it will result in sudden braking. You have to be going pretty good when you hit this because there is a ledge right above where I am about 4' straight up.
I went this far but being all by myself and all of 6 blocks from home I got skeert
uh oh, I didn't mean to find this
Anyway, time to get back because it is like 106 out there and my iced tea is now empty
Trail in need of some love
more in here
I scared 2 white tail deer on the way out
Water temp on left, trans temp on right. Don't push it. Let's go get an iced tea and chill
