K&N Mod. Air Box vs. K&N Gen II Peformance Kit

I currently have the K&N with modified box. Is it worth it to change it with the K&N Generation II performance kit? Will I gain a good performance? Anybody did this?

I don't believe you will notice much difference. I had the K&N FIPK and I noticed more power with the cut air box. I assume it is because with the cut air box, you can keep the engine from sucking in the hot air under the hood, whereas the FIPK is open and pulling air from all sides. I would keep what you got. More power and it is a free mod. My favorite kind.

I agree with RTStork. The more cool air the better. I dont think the X is gonna need more air than it can get now.
