I started an Ebay auction for how to get the code for $0.99. I said right in the description that they could find the information for free. I was going to just post a link to this forum, but when I realized the listing would cost me $0.25...
I considered the possibility he might bid on it just to give me a bad rating, so I used my wife's account. Since she doesn't use ebay, it will be no harm done. But now I get to give him a bad rating for free!
Hey, that's not a bad idea. Everyone set up an account in their pet's name; buy his products, not pay, and give him a bad rating. That will drive him out in short order. Okay, it will ruin your pet's account, but they probably don't buy much anyhow.

I got an email from "Paypal" saying they had my payment, but I had to follow a link to "verify my email address". There they asked for my password. That didn't seem right, so I went directly to Paypal.com, and found no payment had been made.
I sent the email to Paypal, who confirmed it was a spoof.
Someone on an Ebay discussion site warned me to do a virus scan. I did and found an email from him was infected! Fortunately I somehow managed to avoid catching it.
He is a real piece of work; but presumably Ebay will take care of him.

A good way to say thanks would be to take $20 of that $50 you saved and become Elite on this site. I finally did, and should have done it long ago. I've certainly learned a lot here too over the years. (More than I ever thought I would!!)
I didn't have the code on my new truck either, so when I went to the local dealership to get a seat belt extender so the seat belt will fit me correctly. I asked where the location of the code for the keypad was. They sent me to the service department, where I was told that it would cost me $40 to reprogram the keypad, so I agreed, since I needed the code in order to arm the alarm. I guess someone is watching me up there because when they finished and gave me my code, I went to pay him and he told me the conputers all went down and he didn't want to deal with manually entering the transaction, so guess what.....I got my keypad reprogrammed for free Anytime you can get one over on the dealerships is sweet
