Hi guys, was speaking to a explorer owner down hear and he is having problems getting a new Key less entry remote programmed, 2 Ford dealers have tryed and failed and one told him he need to get a aftermarket unit.
His original remote can be programmed no worries it has a serial number F8DB-15K601-EA
But he has been told that it has been superseded with a new remote, Serial number XW4Z15K601BA, this is the one that they can't programmed to the car. It is also different to his old remote where one of the buttons is now used to open the tailgate where on the old remote it was a panic alarm.
He was going to get one from the U.S but has been told they run a different frequency.
Anyone know what might be going on??
