Just bumped into this looking for storage platform ideas. Great stuff. Love the way it moves forward.
Great fab on those sliders too. definitely one of a kind.
Scanning through I saw the 900F in there, and thought you might get a kick out of these ...
My 1982 CB900F fresh out of the box (I worked for Honda at the time as an assembler, so I actually took it off the truck in a crate myself).
Then a few months later – lowered hand controls (it was Honda's standard set for Europe, so all factory), factory rearsets, Supertrap header, Mikuni smooth bores, an 1100F oil cooler, some racing rubber and a lot of safety wire later, and it hit the track as a Formula 1 class endurance racer. This thing didn't pull out of the corners like the Ninjas or 1100s of the time, but it could run all-out for hour after hour and never break down. And, as I unfortunately learned at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, it could survive a serious trashing. My team partner laid it down in Turn 6, and he ground off most of the alternator (and some other stuff). We ripped off what was left, cleaned it up enough to pass safety inspection, got back on the track running on battery alone and still took third. I loved that thing.
Be well, and thanks for the great ideas here. :exp:
