This wasn't my grill, just one Jon had laying around, so we tried to see if it would work or not, well........NOT! lol

Sorry Tim, If I would have known, I would have taken a pic for ya.

THat grille is a work of art! Its so dynamic and multiplanar!

I agree, that grill would look good on Salvador Dali's Explorer!!

that grill will still work on an explorer. you just need to find the right body to use it on, however, if you find a truck that will fit it, i doubt the truck would work!

no problem about the pic. i am sure jon wont be computer-less for long.

That grille is a shame, I like the idea. It looks almost smooth, how much less heat could be used and still melt the powder?

a box came today, all the way from Kansas

and what was in the box you ask?

DSC03382_Medium_.jpg

one swanky looking diff cover :D!

this thing looks so good, i might just leave it on the truck for good, and not just for AFN.

thanks jon! that looks great. i knew you where going to put black on the "TA", but the black on the outer ribs was a nice surprise! looks like i am going to be sending a pile of motor parts down to you when i get closer to putting my car back together.......when ever that happens.

i wish i could, but its cloudy outside right now :(. oh well, it wont be going on until after i paint the chassis, so i will get a chance to see it.

Nice, 2 of my favorite artists on this forum--Jon & vroomzoom. The Dream Team.

Some Cobra valve cover-coil covers

The valve covers are "Titanium metallic" with a flat-satin acrylic clear. The coil covers are "wrinkle black"

Scott B. is building a drafting table.
Here are some parts of it in "Semi gloss Pac -Car black" which is 50% gloss

And here are some Amplifier heat sinks. The main body is "Candy Purple" over starlight silver, the logo is " violet sparkle flip flop" . 2 coats of mirror clear.

The "flip flop" component changes from almost invisible, to silver depending on viewing angle

Froader did the vector file, and Blee1099 made the mask decals.

edit. boy my camera got dirty from sitting around. Sorry for the flecks and blurrs

Very nice, all of it is great. Remember that Titanium metallic paint for chassis parts and engine brackets too. It contrasts well with black.

Very cool! A new application. Hmmmm ....

Sparky-
I hope this is what you had in mind-

Smoked Mirror chrome 160 percent gloss
The true color is hard to capture, because it changes-but it is kind of between these

Jon,
Going back thru the tons of pics/pages looking for the work you did on a bicycle. Came across these. Bought some used tail pipe tips in stainless that I cannot get polished/cleaned up decently. There are also some deep scratches on the bottom of them I cannot get out. Would this hold up during winter and handle heat etc? Ballpark figure of cost? You can PM me.

Also considering taking off aluminum grill guard (not heavy-side pieces come off) but I am thinking shipping would be killer.

Thanks, I am going back to drooling over the rest of the pics....

wow I wish you were closer to me because I would love to pay you to powder coat some things on my maxima
