Depends... each location determines if they'll do it. I would recommend a shop, if they are good.

I just got my new coilsprings in. I got 3" for the front and 2" for the back. I was just wondering if anybody knows how bad it will throw off the alignment when i put them on. Well what i want to know is could i drive it down to an auto shop to get it aligned or would it throw it off so bad that i wouldnt be able to drive it down???

Actually I got the 2.5" in the front and we put it on the alignment machine and the mechanic said it wasn't out of alignment at all, didn't need one.....
So mine hasn't been adjusted since the install, so I feel as if you could at least make it to a shop to check alignment after you install.

ok thanks...maybe i'll just install and take it down for an alignment...what about the back???

Okay, QLs work fine on the rear suspension, but the front end sucks!

You know I haven't done the back yet but they are on the way! The shop I used for the fronts charged me 2 hours of labor, 170 bucks total.

fitting next week my new tyres 265/70/17 same size as Donner, I have good clearance everywhere as I'm changing wheels giving me 0.5 inch outside offset, trialed one yesterday, looks excellent combined with my 1.5" lifted springs.
Onhly downfall is that the bigger tyre won't fit properly in the spare well

i'd like to get one of those tyre/tire holders for the back of the vehicle, but man, maybe just have to strap the spare down inside the rear cargo and put a false floor over it... that would be less expensive.

Im looking at doing 2" in the front and rear.

Also has anyone done their own install or is everyone having shops do it?

I have all the tools except an alignment rack, but if just the toe is off ,thats not too hard to adjust.

shop did mine, don't remember the cost because it was part of a major project.

After a little looking around I came across ranchos quick lift system:

DEVELOPMENT TIRE SIZE: 265 x 70 x R17 = 31.6" dia. tire

QUICK LIFT: FRONT: RS999780 & Rear: RS999781
DEVELOPMENT TIRE SIZE: 265 x 75 x R16 = 31.6" dia. tire

I believe all it does is give additional clearence for larger tire sizes. Pretty cool though.

Fitted my new tyres 265/70/17 replacing the stock 245/65/17 (same as Donner's) on a set of Falcon rims I already had, the best bit is although they are the same size they have 0.5" further outside offset. Will fit them one day this week or next when I can get it in for a 4 wheel alignment.
