Lifted Sport Tracs Picture Thread!

If only Ford could've had even just half of these ideas haha. A king ranch ST would be sweet!

nice, how is your spare mounted in the bed? that looks good. ive always been a fan of tacomas, those things are pretty damn capable even in their stock state. the sport trac just has a better overall feel in my opinion, and i prefer the short bed. plus its a ford! im a big fan of jeeps and i like rams too. not too big on chevy's and nissans though, except for the old pathfinders.

Leaning against the bed extender. It's got a ratchet strap on either side going to the tie down points and a lock (that I use for my deer stand when I leave it in the bed) also going through the wheel and a tie down point. I also lock the tailgate. If someone really wants it, they'll be able to get it but it would take a bit of effort and muscle. Not really concerned where I live, though.

The reason I bought the ST (besides being a Ford) was that I wanted a shorter wheel based vehicle, 4x4 and a bed just big enough for hunting. Couldn't afford a Brute at the time (and it's not built how I'd have done it) so Jeeps were out of the question without a bed. Nothing else had a short enough wheelbase and bed besides the GM offerings. Test drove a 4x4 Canyon and it just felt like driving a piece of plastic with no feel to the driving.

I also got hooked by doing my research and seeing John's and Jerry's STs along with a few others.

CityBoyAtl, I am sure you have been asked this on the forum, but I have yet to find it. What lights are you using on your crossbar? are they piaa's if so what kind are they?

Either way, I like the setup as well. Are those some sort of factory crossbars?

king ranchers are awesome trucks, but i can do without all the leather and computers and all the other stuff. im always giving my trucks a thorough workout and if i had a king ranch id be affraid to mess the leather up or jack it up somehow. my buddy had a brand new f150 thats top of the line with leather and all that good stuff but i feel like he gets more use out of his old ranger because he's affraid to mess his 150 up somehow. we went up to hollister hills svra one day and he was literally drenched in sweat by the time we had lunch because he was so nervous a tree branch was going to scratch his paint. so he walked on egg shells driving this beast around trying not to screw it up, then one day he went hiking and parked his truck on the side of a road and backed into a fallen tree. when he drove forward the bottom of his bumper got hung up on the tree and he twisted the hell out of his bumper. because of the rear sensors and camera, they charged him a grip to put on the new one. all that fancy stuff is just too much for me to worry about. if i wanted a lux truck id get a range rover and start drinking lattes in front of starbucks. not that theres anything wrong with that, or getting a king ranch, its just not me.

Looks more like the ff 75. They're more rectangular.

I got my ST cuz my stepdad had it and gave me a steal for it! At first I wasn't a fan because I either wanted an f150 to build or an older stang to play with. Insurance for both is higher and the 150 would be a bear to pump gas into so I learned to love the ST. I've always been a Blue Oval fan, but don't mind bow-ties. My dad is a GM dealer so i guess it runs in the family. Despise Dodge and Heeps... to many hilljacks at my school gave the whole dodge name a bad rep. I do really like the Tundras though... theres one I see at work a lot, it says "Rock Crawler" on the 1/4 panel and has nice rims, duratracs, some rock sliders and Fox Coils on it. All blacked out too. :D

But I never plan on getting rid of the ST unless it gets totaled. Or id keep it and get another one and use my original for parts. Love it to much now.

Yeah they're factory.

I got leather and everything but just keep it conditioned. I don't worry much about it and my truck is anything but clean...tidy and organized but dirty. Trees have put their fingers all over my truck. I'll buff and wax the truck sometime this spring but I don't really concern myself with it.

I could see myself buying a King Ranch but it would still be a truck to me. There's no such thing as a luxury truck in my mind; just well accompanied, lol. Any sports cars I own will get track days. I buy for purpose, not impressing others.

thats a great way to look at it. as long as you can still treat your truck like a truck, or your sports car like a sports car that'll work. its just craz to me when i see my buddy feeling the need to treat his F150 like a bentley when we are out camping.
