Lori's Reaper, The Cobra R Clone (56K Die)

Looks like the Cobra R bumper cover isn't just for Mudstains anymore.........

He should have done the "Tuck" like I did to Lori's

Well, looks like we ALL learned something new yesterday.

Where I and everyone else though there were metal plates under the wing of the 2000 Cobra R, looks like someone at SVT went and had some injection molding done, and there are NO Ford part numbers on it, everyone was stunned, and intrigued.

This doesn't pose a problem, though it does change the idea direction I will be going to make a plate under the deck lid.

that IS what that yellow ring in the picture...right?

that's "the pin".

haha

A sticker from Cervini's on the wing said to bake it at 140* for on hours in a paint booth, or at minimum set it in the sun for 5 days, well since I got the wing, I was able to let it sit in the sun for 2 day before we got our crappy weather.

And since I don't have access to a climate controller paint booth, I took some oscillating floor heaters and set them on stun and every day I just have been rotating the wing 180* for over a week now, so hope fully this thing will be cured.

And I know one thing, the office is hotter than hell that's for sure!!!

is that so it can cure?
did it seem tacky or damp when you got it, ?

Yes curing, and I'm just following the instructions, they're made on a demand basis only, so I'm guessing it was pretty fresh out of the mold, it was almost 2 weeks before I got it, from the date ordered., it did have a funky chemical smell to it up until about 2 days ago, I don't small it in the office any more.

good news, than it is ready for paint, and install,

That's great news, now as soon as we get some decent weather here we can get to work, plus it may look like we will have to repaint the bumper cover again, seems as though the very first original painter that did the prep work didn't do it correct and it's causing the paint to lift in certain areas :(

BTW, please pick up your crumbs so they're not all over the floor, I like to keep a clean thread. :p:

i was looking for the sweeping emoticon, but i couldn't find it,,

and speaking of decent weather quit hogging all the heat and send some up here, Tim and I are cold still,

Oh if I was hogging it you'd know, note propane heater going full tilt, and be wearing 3 times the clothes PLUS coveralls to stay warm, it's been ****ty and nasty here.

Also note bottom of heater is starting to freeze.

Well unfortunately the bumper cover was improperly prepped so just after a few weeks of driving, even the lightest thing that touches it chipps the paint, and a few areas are lifting, so when the wing gets painted the bumper cover goes back for a repaint too :(

And I still need to sit down and paint he scoop inserts also, along with doing some more swirl remover, damn black is a ***** .

you weren't kidding when you said the bumper is chipped, i can see all the little white spots in it. stripping that will be loads of fun i'm sure. that and in my opinion, it needs to sit just a tad lower all around. sorry if i sound opinionated. whens the hair drier going under the hood? :D

Yeah the bumper cover sucks, but also, take into account the camera does for some reason make it look worse than it actually is, but still.

Note in almost every picture you'll see the flash which is a bright spot that looks like a chip, go back and study the pics you'll see what I'm talking about.

As for lower, yeah that would be nice, but we'd never be able to get it in the driveway, let alone anywhere else in in town, so unfortunately that won't happen, and it already has the Eibach Sport line springs under it, and it dropped the car some 1.5" already.
