I have a 95 xlt 4.0 and I have to replace the lower intake gasket this weekend and when I looked in a Haynes manual it said to remove the valve covers to get the lower intake off.Can it be done with out taking off the valve covers?

Nope, because the valve covers are bolted to the lower intake manifold on the upper side of the valve cover.

hahaha dont be scared, its pretty straight forward and a simple proceedure, I can do the OHV 4.0L intake gaskets in just a few hours.

Just make sure you have a good torque wrench and use OEM quality gaskets.

mission completed,It wasn't that hard to do.
