I've got 2 problems that I'm thinking aren't related, but I'm hoping they are.
The wife has a 2001 Sport Trac. She said she's felt like it's running rough at stop signs and stop lights. I drove it yesterday and what it felt like to me was that it was as if I'd just barely took my foot of the brake and it started moving forward. Not being used to her car, I stepped down firmly on the brake to make sure it was engaged. It still felt like it wanted to jump or lurch forward.
This wasn't every stoplight, either, it seemed somewhat random.
About the same time as she noticed this, the Check Engine Light came on (late last week.) I took it to autozone tonight and it came up with P0171 & P0174 which are bank 1 & 2 "too lean". The diagnostics they pointed towards either a fuel pressure condition or MAF sensor fault.
Is there anyway that these two codes could be related to the lurching?
Also, is there a way to narrow down the issue more?
Thanks
