ok so this may or may not have already been covered.....on my manuel hubs it says free and lock....well when i put it into free it clicks into place. is this supposed to happen....cause when i put it to lock it turns and stays i was just confused i wanted to make sure they are operating correctly. if i can ill look at another explorer with the same hubs and see....just curious tho. and i believe they are the originals...well OE hubs....i hope this makes sense.

i need to go look and buy some different hubs but i was just curious if these hubs are operating correctly.

they sound like they are working correctly...the only way to tell is lift the front of your truck, lock the hubs and spin the wheels...if you are getting new hubs try 4wheelparts and get warn hubs....if you are tossing your oem hubs, send them to me, ;)

lol mexican hubs eh haha...never heard of that... and tbars4 as soon as i get some different hubs these ones are yours...now with me being 17 and needing to put a new exhause on my explorer to pass colorado emmisions it may take a lil bit. but thanks for the responses....

are you in colorado already??? if not, wait til you get there and have a muffler shop do a quick fix...and just p.m. me when you are ready to send...i think a set of warn hubs was 163 bucks...a lot better product for the price...

no ill be moving there within the next few weeks. mom is trying to get me to sell the explorer and well i told her yeah right...she is dreading the muffler shop expierience...i need a cat and blahh all this other crap i guess i have straight pipes with glasspacks on it.

there are people parting out there trucks on here and you can get their good cats and o2 sensors cheap...a muffler shop will charge you about 150 to remove your setup, install the cats, a new muffler and pipes...i am hoping you still have th o2 holes, if not, it will be more...start searching the parting out trucks now and the rest is easy...tell your mom don't worry, we'll help take care of ya ;)

Your mexican hubs are working correctly. Why do you need to buy some different hubs if your mexican hubs are working fine?

Manuel, LOL, where's the mexican hat smilie? :D

When you get here check out RMFTC.com(its a group of FORD owners here in CO)(sorry to the mods if adding another .com is against the rules). If you are wanting new hubs look into the WARNS, they are a litle pricey for a 17yo, but well worth the money.

The answer is Yes your manual hubs are working correctly.. When you turn the hub to free you will feel and hear a slight "Click". However when you turn the hub to lock no click can be felt or heard.

i want to add this as i know this is really important...on my hub problem i had, the swapped hub with the missing innerds....the hub clicks just like a normal working hub...all it takes is for one hub not to work and you have 4x2 only...i found out the hard way, lol...the only way to check it is jack it up, lock the hubs and spin the wheels....:D

it is illegal to sell used catlaytic converters, just FYI

I have a complete 4.0L exhaust setup from my BII, not a whole lotta miles on it, just sitting there.

It has been chopped up a bit :)

I also have an excellent exhaust guy here in CO, let me know if you want his info

cool, looks like 410 has got you hooked up and with free cats...:D a good exhaust guy is also a plus ;)
