Changed the plugs before I put the engine in. I've covered less than 2k kms since installing the engine.

Took it out today, ran like there was something wrong, then the CEL came on, scanned the codes and it came up with misfire cylinder 7.

I put Champion spark plugs in and the plugs that were already on the engine when I got it...

I really hope it's a simple fix...

Any suggestions?

My first solution is to get rid of the champion plugs....

Hmmm, why? My tuner recommended them for best performance--at the cost of shorter life yes. However they should go 25k miles easy. I used them in my 347-

I have seen any brand of spark plug fail out of the box, lately more are doing so. Might have just been a bad one.

I have used champion plugs for a couple years and never had good luck with any of them....

Same happened in ny old truck. Bought e3 plugs, ran good for about 3000 miles then start it up and its running choppy. Would rev above 3 grand and cel came on reading random cylinder misfire. Wound up being plug in cylinder 2. Got a new one and 1000 miles later same thing happened in cylinder 6. Same code. Changed plugs to factory ones and never had the problem again

looking under the hood revealed that a spark plug wire was resting peacefully on the exhaust manifold... I moved it... that should help...
