Moon Roof Tilt

How much does your moonroof tilt? Fully raised mine only goes up about 1/2 inch. Gap is about a finger width. I have the Ford cross bars and they have the spacer to keep the front behind the window. Given how little it opens it wouldn't come close to hitting.

Mine does not tilt much either. Not like my other Explorers.

I just looked at that a couple of days ago. Very small gap, much smaller than I had on my Escape.

Same. A bit of a disappointment, but I usually slide it anyway.

Cory - not sure it is a problem, just surprised it doesn't open wider. The other question is if that it only opens less than an inch, why is a spacer need for the front cross bar?

Yup, that's how much it opens. Like unique said, I also usually slide mine open. Not sure why they went with such a low profile on the tilt.
