I know, and if I order now I get the better of the deal at the time I order, or the deal at delivery (employee pricing I get regardless).
Costco deal ends at the end of October, and if they restart it in December ALONG with other discounts, then I get those other discounts as well.
(Hope that made sense?)
You have to be careful with that Costco discount. Going on past indications, it sees that when Ford does announce that discount it only applies to those who are already members. For example, they may state on Dec. 1st that this promotion is now in force but the fine print would say that you had to have been a Costco member before or on Nov. 1st. You can't just run out and get a membership when they bring the promotion in and have it apply. I was caught in a similar situation where I was too late and the salesman said to go out and get a membership just in case Ford brought the promotion back by the time my Ex was delivered. He offered to pay the cost of the membership if the deal wasn't brought back. I didn't take him up on it and as it turned out, the promotion was not brought back at that time. Besides, I don't shop as Costco.
As for the 2% reduction, that may still be a bit optimistic. alot depends upon the dealer.
I'm not sure why the delivery cost was not charged. At first I thought it may have been an oversight but subsequent paperwork did not include the fee and I didn't question it.
My overall difference between the window sticker price ($51,829) and my contract price was $1985. I don't know if the delivery cost is in there or not. All I know that on the contract there is no cost shown in the space for delivery.
My other discount of $2000 was due to two rebates that were in place.
As for the Winter Wheel Package, they may bring that back but don't think you're getting something for nothing. It may eat into your overall discount or be offered in place of a discount.
I have figured out what my cost will be and for 17" steel rims ($99 ea), 245/65R17 BF Goodrich Winter Slalom KSI tires ($191.79 ea installed/balanced) and TPMS valves ($56.60 ea) it comes to $1390 before tax, and that does not include the base model wheel covers at $41 each.
The lease rate had dropped to 4.99 by the time my Ex was delivered in March. I reduced that to 3.94 by giving them a $6250
refundable deposit which comes back to me at lease end. FYI, the rates did not drop until we were into the new year so I doubt there will be much if any drop in the next few months.
Not sure if that answers all your concerns or not.
