My 97 Explorer has problems starting & running.

Hi everyone,my name is Joseph and my 97 Explorer is giving me a fit.It died on me coming home and haven't been able to get it to run.It will start up and shut down,then nothing at all.I've got spark,fuel pressure but don't know if that is right.My gauge shows it at 30-40 with key on,but when it does start it will only run for a few seconds.Do anyone have any suggestions or ideas of what could be wrong.

When it was running, did the "check engine" light display?

Check all of your fuses. There are 2 fuse boxes, one under the hood and one inside the **** pit on the left end of the dash

Fuse 13 ( mini fuse under the hood) could be the culprit

your 97 electrical may vary a bit from this one but it still should help

the light would go out once it started to run.Also if i blocked off the pressure regulator i can get it to run so replaced it but that didn't help.

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the stock 95-01 section. Check the fuel pump & PCM relays.
