Danny,
Nice job! I just got my Billet grill yesterday. I have never done this b/4. I am glad I found this thread! I have a question for you. Can you tell me in detail, how you got the grill off? Like what all has to come off and how? I got as far as the tool tray, and top screws (4) but thats were I stopped. I am not sure where to go from there. Never took off the lights b/4, I did not know they had to till I read this thread! The sawzall part is no biggie for me, and the install should be a pc of cake. I just dont want to break anything! I broke my fog light trying to remove it to clean it! It was full of mud, and I still dont know how to get it off the right way!
Can you help?

stock grill just pulled it in the garage

after removing all of the screws, tool tray and corner lights there are 4 pressure clips holding the grill in 2 of them are under the corner lights and the other 2 you access under the truck

0031sized.jpg

with the grill shell removed from the truck, it would be a good idea to remove the egg crate plastic that is held in with 5 push pins

0035sized.jpg

the grill, ready to cut the center section out

0042sized.jpg

cutting the center out, with a sawzall

0045sized.jpg

the center is now removed;)

0046sized.jpg

again, center removed

0051sized.jpg

placed the billet grill in, drilled the holes and test fitted

0058sized.jpg

then taped off the center section

0060sized.jpg

went over it with a red scotch brite pad = to 600 grit sandpaper

0064sized.jpg

two coats of krylon fusion gloss black

0068sized.jpg

dried and tape removed

0069sized.jpg

all finished ready to re-install on the truck

0081sized.jpg

re-assemble grill shell(may want to take the time and clean it well) and step back and enjoy:D

So yeah, sorry for my sloppy typing haha...Its really not to bad to install...

Yep. I found a couple more threads, explaining how to remove the grill. I was just afraid of breaking something. Than you for your reply, if I get into any trouble I will give you a shout.

Its pretty simply, if you got MSN Danny907@hotmail.com

Thanks! I dont have msn, but I can still email you. Been installing my new nerf bars last couple of days. Torsion twist in the morning, started raining on me.:(
Getting new tires tomorrow!:) Then the Billet grill on Sunday. Picked up a new fine tooth blade for my sawzall for the grill cutout, cant wait to do it! I got a JTsmith black chrome job on it:D

Job well done!
