FWIW, you flat out cannot buy a component speaker within short driving distance of Lake Arrowhead. If you want to put it off until I have a speaker, I'll be off the mountain next week and can pick up or order a sub before then.
I'll be tied up for a few days and have some other work to do on the Ex before I put in a speaker, paint/carpet the stealth box... but when I do I will post the pictures here.
...This box is designed to fit snug and have as much air space inside of it as possible...
...This box will fit behind your tail light connection with enough room for the factory defrost and light cables to fit on top of the box, and under the rail as originally installed...It also has a nice curve over the wheel well, again, for a snug fit...With a piece of carpet on it's face, it will fit more snug and will also help keep the panel from vibrating against the box...
...You can see the ledge under the window in this pic, (where the white clips are), you can either mount L brackets or strap it, to this ledge..
...I haven't worked it all out yet but at the most I'm thinking , $80 local pick up and up to $100 shipped...
...I guess the interest in the 2 sizes of the box itself is also an issue...The box shown is 19" wide and takes less material but the same amount of pieces and time to cut and build...
...The larger 27" one takes more material, is a bit larger and weighs more for shipping purposes...
...I want to build 10 all at one time but I have no problem holding it till we meet up...If you have the sub with a template, I will also cut it for free while you wait...
