Need help please

I am trying to find the part number for the power seat motor in a 2002 Explorer XLT that moves the seat forward and backwards. When you push the switch, you can hear it trying to work but it won't move the seat. The other directional motors work as intended. Any and all help would be appreciated. It's for my teenage...

Don't know the answer, just that I have the same problem. Doubt it's available, except at a junkyard. Maybe it can be rebuilt at a small motor shop. The seat can be manually moved though, using a drill, I've read. Maybe you can set it and forget it. That's what I did.

The seat remove easily from the motorized base. You might try looking for a trashed seat so it can be purchased cheaply.

Could be an issue with a flaky switch not conducting enough to work the motor. been there---
