Need help with fog lights

To those that have run fog lights on a 1st gen Explorer, how have you gotten the wires through the fire wall. Did you use one of the gromets already there and how did you get the wire through it? Did you drill a new hole? Thanks in advanced.

Not sure if there could be an easier way on a first gen. but, I have had good luck feeding it through the same hole as the hood release cable goes through. Just push a coat hanger through and tape the wires to the hanger and pull it back into the interior.

I just used the grommet that is on the firewall right by the pedals.
