need some help

I recently bought, like within the last week, a 2002 ford ranger 2.3L engine. It runs fine but seems to have a loss of power going up hills and doesn't want to accelerate when i push the fuel peddle down. anyone have any ideas.

I kinda was thinking maybe changing the spark plugs.

Welcome to this forum! Replace the fuel filter, add fuel injection cleaner, and clean the MAF sensor.

hey brooklynbay thanks for the information. had already thought about that and added the cleaner. the MAF and most of the emissions controls look new and when i say new i mean within just a couple of months or so.
Letme ask this. when driving i can hear what sounds like a raddle on the drivers side front. i figure just tire vibration or maybe the stablizer bar bushing. whats your thought. I'm a former army mechanic but a tank mechanic not trucks ect.....

Any bushing that's worn is going to have play, and make noise when it rattles. Check the ball joints, tie rods, bushings, U joints, and wheel bearings.
