wut kinda trans case do i have? its auto

There is NO internal difference between the manual and the auto (electric) transfer case unless you have the V8 with the full time box.

The only difference is the shifting mechanism, so no gearing changes, or strength issues with either box.

yeah but ou said pick the right one for the calculator..im nto sure which to pick..

also id like to put this out ther..i been thinkin my best option for times sake and for moneys sake will be to actually go with a 4in suspension..
the 4in kyjacker and correct me if im wrong..has a lift coil up front (4in) and a new set of leafs in the back lifting it 4in..

i hav the warrior ext. shackle in the rear (1.5in), and the poly coil spacers up front for about another 2in up ther. could i put the 4in skyjacker in with the couil spacers and the ext shackles and get essentially a roundabout 5.5 in the suspension?

another option i considered..is get ridda the coil spacers and get the f150 coil spacers and giv me about 1 3/4in up front on top fo the 4in lift coil and leave the shackels in the rear about 1.5in with the 4in lift leafs..then giving em again..a roundabout 5.5in but it would be more level, and safer method up front..? how rong or right am i?

yeah, I think that thing was my best investment ever......in fact I'm sure, if you've seen the mustang I nailed. $50 to protect everything.

and to stay on topic, you've got the same setup underneath that I do, being a first gen. I don't know numbers, but I know it's a pretty good box. Not and atlas, but it'll handle the 33's

If you are looking for 5.5 inches, I'd flip the rear springs to above the axle and save the cost of purchasing new springs. The Rangers are set up with flipped springs (over the axle) so it can work.

That almost automatically gives you 5.5" out back.

Then you can do the 4" lift and spacers up front to get it where it needs to be.

For a T-case, just use the 1354 option. Same ratio. When I said "right one" I just meant that you need to input the correct model. It doesn't matter if it is electric or manual. Same guts inside.

well what do you think about the 4in suspension with the coil spacers and keep my ext. shackles..because i'd hav to dig up some stock shackles, and then i'd have to take my AAL out of my leaf pack..instead i can sell my coils spacers and old AAL'd leaf pack as a lift to a buddy of mine. plus it'd giv me a chance to move to the f150 coil seats which i've wanted to do for a while..

i kno im thinkin about it as much as posible..the 5.5 with the SOA is guna be a different driection than i want to go. and belive me it would be more complicated because liek i said i gotta use what i got ..and i dont have sotck shackles..and i have AAL'd springs..so i'd hav to get them back to stock in order to ojly get the 5.5.. wut offset will i need to get away with 33 1250 muds with the 4in? for the record..if its a 5.5-5.75 lift up front and a 5.5in outback will i need to ext. my driveshafts?)

3.75" backspacing will be fine, and this is what it will look like with just 4" and 33s.

Go to a junk yard and grab some stock shackles.

thats pretty big..nice lookin rig

so i've settled ont he 4in... anybody know what 4in suspension i should go with? i belive theres a trailmaster kit and a skyjacker kit..anybody got an opinion..or kno of any others?

I had the Trail Master. I think the Skyjacker is better for the pass. side drop bracket. The Trail Master one punched a hole in my front diff from the travel and poor design. It was an easy fix to just grind down the corner of the bracket, but shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Also check out BDS. They have some nice brackets. No long arms though. For those, you have to go Duff or Superlift, or make your own down the road.

so go with skyjacker?

before you settle on the 4 in remember lifts settle and lower a bit.....i have a 5.5 superlift and 3 in body lift with 35s, i wanna take my body lift off so i dont recomned getting one, i like the suspension lift though, as far as gearing goes 4.56 gears feel great on my rig so if your gonna go 35s go with the 4.56s and if 33s are more in your future go with the 4.10s ...

I checked my tach tonight while I was running down the freeway.

With 4.10s and 33s, I was pulling 2400 @ 70.

That is too low in my estimation, and I'd gladly have the additional 350 rpm that 4.56 gears would give. At 55, I'm only pulling like 1750 - way too low for overdrive unless I lug the engine.

Agreed, that is way too low.

Get the skyjacker lift and 4.56s and put it together.
