New Intake

i just ordered my first major mod for my engine, i have a K&N air filter but moved up and got me the generation 2 cold air system, my question is that if i decide to take my explorer somewhere to get it installed rather then install it myself how much do u think it would cost?

yea thats why i cant do it myself bc i dont think i have the right tools to do the job, i guess ill look at the directions when it comes in and see what i can do but lets just say i cant, does anyone know a rough estimate of how much it would be?

oh he made it sound like i needed more then a screw driver i guess i misunderstood, well if thats all it takes it must be easier then i thought, this would be the first time puttin something on myself besides my K&N air filter but anyone could install that so i dont really know what to expect but u guys make it sound pretty easy

do any of u guys that have the SOHC have pics of your intake so i can see what its gonna look like?

I have SOHC. I don't have any pics. I have the Volant intake installed anyhow which won't help you anyhow.

Yup.

Rather than oil fumes and vapors getting into my TB I just smacked that on the valve cover.

This is NOT an emissions legal mod ( or so I am told )

here's a K&N on the 5.0 Sploder. Nothin to it. Well, except for the mounting bracket bolted onto one of the radiator bolts, since my truck had an air box stock, rather than the earlier ones with the conical filter.
