New Motorcraft Hub Issue

If they are fake then the chances are very good they won’t last any longer then a cheapo Detroit axle hub, sometimes months sometimes weeks

Keep up the good fight!
This is the state of the nation right now we must battle on

Either way, isn't the NHUB22 their lower quality, service grade part and some other part # is equivalent to factory hubs? I could have sworn that a few years back, Rock Auto offered both this NHUB22 (but at a lower price than it is now) and another compatible Motorcraft part # at a lot higher price, but unfortunately I don't recall the other part #.

Okay I see it listed in a workshop manual,. the higher quality hub was part # 515003 but it looks like a few aftermarket brands also started using this same part #.

Paid premium price, idunno. 175 each plus shipping.

Gonna have to search for , or start another abs thread as C1155 still present on 3 different sensors now.

I even pulled the pins back out and stuck them directly into female connectors of truck
Clear code via forscan and it's still there. Does the sensor need to change state, as in wheel spinning for the code to go away? Reason I ask is one of the listed causes is sensor previously unplugged

Left front. What year did Ford change from sending the signal to the ABS control module attached to the pump motor, and send it elsewhere to (?) ??

Anyway once that is known, measure for low resistance between the sensor connector and the elsewhere module connector, and that neither are shorted to ground, workshop manual stated something like at least 10K ohms. You can also spin the wheel and see if it's producing a low voltage... I think AC, but I'd try on DC as well. Compare to the same measurement at the speed sensor itself and/or to the other front wheel.

This pic is only relevant to my '98 and until they changed it. '00 IDK.

I just started an abs thread, could you please copy your post in it for me?

Levittown Ford on Long Island NY?

I don’t live far at all, if you need me to go shake the tree a bit

Haha, that's an awesome thought but now that I think about it the issue stems from higher power. Levitown parts just sells what is handed to them, and that's all they wanna do.

Those motorcraft service grade bearings are $149 each at rockauto

I have had good luck w ac delco, timken and reabestos. Also carquest has a new
Line of premium parts/car quest name, made in USA good prices too plus in town warranty

C1155 is left front wheel bearing
I just had this same code
I installed new Moog bearing code went off for about 30’ came back on
Found speed sensor broken
Ordered $11 speed sensor installed
Code Cleared itself
went about 10 feet light came back on
Found Moog bearing faulty
Installed used motorcraft bearing/hub
No more code for weeks now

Perhaps your “ford” bearing came from the same batch my Moog bearing came from physically broken speed sensor
My
Moog parts came from rockauto

Not in stock at rockauto when I got them.

I know! The inventory changes all the dang time these days
Cannot even find Bosch fuel pumps anymore
Supply chain issues with fuel prices like this I would expect more of the same

It could also be that our vehicles are aging out, no quality manufacturer is interested in doing new production runs so what stock there is, is all there will ever be.

I'm hate to see that Jon, plus the ABS fault code troubles. The new terminal connectors are clearly badly made, the picture looks like they were made with a poorly programmed 3D printer. The new supply chains and parts sources have vastly reduced quality, it may not get better for a long time.

I'm glad you could swap your old connectors and make the hubs work. But who knows if the hubs are the ABS fault. I bought Ford hubs originally for my Mountaineer in 2004, for $200 each. They didn't wear out before I did custom brakes and began with a new OEM pair for my machine shop to install longer wheel studs.

I have had good luck with my other hubs, whether Timken, Moog, or lately the SKF. I hope the latest new parts are not a big problem, I've had two bad hubs for my 95 Crown Vic when under six weeks old, Raybestos or other something from Amazon.

Wondering now if these are fake sold by Ford

The pins are off position in new connectors, which are cheap china **** show with no removable pin lock, all one piece. Had to use pin extractor to remove pins from new plugs.

Picture shows mis alignment. Good connector on leftView attachment 442607

Pissed on so many levels right now.
