Would a flickering HID be a ballast or a wiring issue?

I had this issue before, but I fixed it by finding some good ground points. But since removing the harness, I don't have those grounds anymore. Flicking is back on the driver's side. (well, it was last night before it completely went out.)

Flickering is usually a ground problem. Check and make sure all the wires are properly connected and making a good contact.

Use the harness.

Thick wire (high voltage line) from one of my ballasts is bad, I had to bend it a certain way and ziptie it in that position so it didn't move around.. temporary solution until a replacement ballast gets here. (I'm guessing this Winter had it's toll on the wires.)

Alright, an update on everything.... fixed all my wiring... lights work flawlessly... they may be aimed a tad bit high... but I think that's because I'm slightly higher than stock form. But the aim is perfectly even.

The beam pattern I'm gonna have to get used to... but I believe it puts the light just where it needs to be.

I'm kind of dissapointed with these 5000K bulbs, they look quite yellow... I don't understand it really... I went through idk any how many pictures of HIDs to make the choice...... I guess I'm a 6000K guy. My dad's Mercury uhh... car thing has HID's and they put out an extremely white light..... I figured my 5000K's would duplicate that... guess not... any suggestions? Do stock HID systems come with like.... I'm guessing 5500K or something? I might be getting some 6000K's again..... I don't know yet... either way though... I'm loving these lights.

A little observation though, while driving around it seems kinda like my lights are .."flickering" but they're not. It's more like the housings are kinda rattling around a tiny bit shaking the lights when I hit bumps in the road... anyone notice this?

As far as the color goes you are either being overly critical or you have received the incorrect bulbs. I'm rubbing 5000k and with the concentration of the projectors they look borderline blue when viewing the housing and bright white going down the road. I would check with the manufacturer.

Since reinstalling my 18s I've noticed the lights wiggling about a little. They just aren't anchored like the original lights. It's not as bad as the jiggle I experienced with the dual beam HIDs.

I really don't know... they're labeled right... I've thought it might have just been me but.. side to side with my dad's merc car... definitely yellow... even a friend asked.. "why'd you get rid of your HID setup?"

All OEM HID is 4300K.

Nope.
