There's a problem though. The LED tailights do not allow the turnsignal relay to activate. I've heard of this problem before, but I'm not sure what the cure is.

Change the relay to the electronic relay, or put a resistor across the lamp.

The basic problem is the LED's don't pull enough current for the clicker to work - it's not just a relay, it has other stuff in it.

ya.... what he said :D

same issue with my LED bulb's

Thanks Jeff, I just ordered a pair of 6 ohm equalizers.

Looks good, Rick. You don't waste time, huh? ;)

Sweet looking lights. Are you going to keep them where they are or build the panel out and make the lights flush? Can you take a picture of them illuminated?

-Drew

EDIT: maybe use bondo to fill it all up ;)

No. I hit the rear corner nearly every time out in the canyons so there's no reason to make it pretty.

Question for you Rick. I was working with my LEDs last weekend but cannot get them to light with just the taillights. Brakes are fine, but they will not come on with the headlights. Do yours? Were you able to get the flasher issue resolved?

What confused me on mine was that black wasn't ground, white is. Once I figured that out I got them to work. I have the resistors here, I just haven't installed them yet.

What about some illuminated pictures? Can't show off lights without having them on :p

-Drew

Here's a shot with them on. They appear brighter in person.

One more thing. I installed the 6ohm resistor and the turn signals are working fine.

Thats good to hear, I was actually worried about that. :o I should have mentioned that I've never had to use something like that, I was just giving an example of what you could do.
