No sound *Solved

08 sport trac I've used factory usb input for years playing MP3 files.
Than no sound on aux only.. CD, AM, & FM all output sound even the USB Sync shows tune being played with timer counting up and name of track being played yet no sound.
Voice commands work, I'm at a loss as what may be causing the trouble

Have you tried another USB drive or checked the one you use in another computer?

yes I have inserted another usb drive I keep handy, again no sound yet both drives play fine on computer
I'm considering disconnecting battery to see if a hard reboot of all systems changes anything.

Mine has a Master Reset in the System Menu. I had success using that when Sync goes wonky. Mines is premium sound with Sync.

Got around to installing a battery cutoff switch leaving voltage off the last couple of days..
Lo and Behold there is now sound from USB memory stick i've been using all along.
Strange how things work out sometimes.
