northern california run..

Ray -

You could give me the transfer case skid plate off your '97. We got a 2000 XLT for my wife and it doesn't have one. Never know when it may be needed. Heck, she already told me the only mod she would "ALLOW" me to do is to replace the stock air filter with a K&N.

Hmmmm, I wonder what will she notice and what she won't!@!%@$!**&^%^@

Hope to see you there on the 21st, I got the green light so I'll be there.

Khoa.

Khoa, If soupbone doesn't take it, you can have it.

Yes Ill take it! Thanks!! These things easy to put on? I might try it myself.. I dunno...

Soupbone,
Send me a email with your phone number to ray@explorerforum.com.

Sorry Khoa, but I did offer it to him first.

Aw, schuck.....

What do you have to fix Ray? Will you be heading over to Hollister on the 21st?

My front right wheel bearing went out and I also lost the ABS sensor. The wheel bearings are fairly cheap, but I think the ABS sensor will cost. I won't have time to get it fixed by then, plus I have to go down south to pick up my tire carrier/bumper from Tom Rios(FAKRWEE) on the 21st.
Sorry guys maybe next time

i am still in...woohoo

sorry to hear about your abs sensor ray, maybe we,ll have to another bay area run not to much longer away.
good luck . how about kvo you still in? i talked to tom
he will be there,i get the explorer alignment done this friday ,can,t wait to hit the dirt with some ground clearance........ later dudes

baexploder

which lift did you and tom put on? and are you going to have bigger tires?

also take a look at my pics and toms of los coyotes. do you think my explorer will do well in hollister?

jim on the first page i have a brief discription of my lift, yep i have toms used tires
they are 33x12.50 so yeah there alot bigger than the old 30x9,s i was running.
depending on the terrain,
your truck will do fine out at hollister, mine did. see yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Ok i got my fuel tank skid plate. Its already broken in.. :) Im still trying to figure out where im gonna put front tow hooks. I need a air compressor to air up right.... so whats the best bang for the buck?

Oh and Ray did you get my email?

Yes, I'm still in for the 21st.

Soupbone - If you're worry about airing up after wheeling, don't worry, the ranger office has 4 air hoses in line so you can air up your truck afterwards.

Also, if your looking for an air compressor to just have one, look for the truckair compressor; Kragens usually have them in stock, and they are in the $40 to $50 range. They are really good for the price.

The truck air is a pretty good unit. I have one I got it at K-mart on sale for 35. That was about a year ago though.

Can someone give me directions to the Hollister event from Santa Clara (101 & 880)...

What day is it, April 21 or 22? or both?

What time should I arrive?

MATT

oh yeah guys i dont have front tow hooks but i am not against using the bumper as a winch point

FitzMatt -

If you want to hook up and drive down there together, I can meet you at the Hellyer Avenue Exit off 101 saturday morning (4/21/2001) at 9:00 AM. Hellyer Avenue is one exit south of Capital Expressway from 101.

Exit the Hellyer Ave off ramp, take a right. I can meet you right at the intersection of Hellyer County Park and Hellyer Ave at 9:00 AM. It takes almost an hour from there driving leisurely to the Ranger station at Hollister.

It will rain this weekend so it will be nice and muddy, I can already see about 50 lbs of mud to be cleaned off.
