OBD Proformance Chip

I have just recently heard about proformance chips that after about 200 miles can tune your car to give more HP and save gas, are these worth it? Please give more info

The stock computer constantly monitors air to fuel ratio and trims it for best mileage and emissions. There is no need for a chip.

There may be very small performance gains, but not worth the money to me.

There are more gains to be had in performance and with changing shift points with a tuner, but that is also not worth the gains for the price.

A tuner is typically only needed when you have made big power upgrades and then it is necessary.
