Odd part never before seen.

So was replacing the shocks today, I seen one of the rear shocks lower bolt had a magnetic cap on the bolt head. Does anyone know the name or purpose of this?

I’ve had the truck a year and just changed the shocks so longer than a year.

almost looks like someone was going to change the shocks and didn't have the right socket so they beat one on there, broke it and then gave up.

Ditto, it looks like part of something else, broken off and left there. Pry that thing off and see how it's shaped inside.
