heh, not that I have a race car.... Definately far from it.... I am gonna see what it will do in the 8th at Qualcomm this friday. I'll report back with results. lol.

On another note I think I'll be able to get it on the dyno tomorrow. I hope :rolleyes:

Qualcomm aye? We are not to far from each other. That's were I got my best time. I plan on going back soon.
 






You should come down there on Firday! I'll be hard to miss.... It would be cool to see another X there. I couldnt get the truck dynoed the other day, but He says maybe tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed.
On another note I weighed my truck today and I was shocked! It was 4700 even. I am preety surprised. I figured I was closer to 6000 lbs. I have about 300lbs of stereo equipment in there right now too.

Yeah that would be cool, but my X is out of commission. I still need to throw on the SC back. I'm just waiting for my new blower case to get here. Once I have that on and get it tuned, ill go for sure.
 






Well.... F'ers wouldnt let me run because they didnt like my tires. LOL. oh well, it was fun anyway. They said my tires were too "knobby" to run. Even though they DOT approved and a "radial" at that. I guess the super swamper SSR tread pattern was too aggresive for them. I am gonna try to get some A/T's or something just to run with next time.
 






That sucks that they wouldn't let you run. Vegas Track they don't care. In fact last night a HUGE F-550 that I could walk under with semi tires and they let him go down the track! He even ran a 14.1

Yeah these Qualcom drags are sponsored by racelegal dot com, the good ol' CA Highway Patrol :). It still probably shouldn't matter though, the tires do meet spec.

I showed up with my Cancun plates and the inspector was a Patrol, he was like WTF! I had to help him interpret my registration :) I can tell they were snarling at my exhaust, lol.
 












They will let you run whatever you want.... slicks, straight headers etc.... The problem they had with my tires, (besides the cuts and tears in them:rolleyes:) was that they were too aggressive of a tread pattern and the 37" tire is a huge tire if it were to come apart . They were worried it could hurt someone.
They said if I get 2 more "street like" tires and through them on the back, I could run. So I'll try to get a couple for next time. Still, it did suck though. I think they should have let me run. I told the guy I wasnt going to be doing a burn out, cuz I didnt want to break something :D It almost worked but they finally said no dice.
On the other hand I did get on the dyno tonight.... I pulled 276HP and 338 TQ . Not bad through my 37" drivetrain. Only 6psi with an otherwise stock longblock. I was happy. There is a lot left there.... But check out the graph, gotta love the torque band :thumbsup:

Disregard runfile 1 the blue one... He stopped at 3900 rpm thats why the HP is down.....

Your truck sounds great, I bet it loves the KB 2200. I was going that route but am leaning towards a turbocharger. Keep us all inspired with good times and videos.

Sick dyno pull. That's some power down :). What gearing are you running? So they will let you run with the "big aggresive" tires on the front but not the back? O man sorry for the track you have to kinda deal with. O well take what you can get right? I have to drive 130 miles to get to the Vegas track so 6's i guess! Can't wait for your run, also do you know the weight of your rig?
 






Yeah, I guess they figured I would be running 2wd which I planned on anyway..... So just rear tires would be fine the size was fine they said. I am running 4.88 gears but I have the T-5 tranny. At 1800 Rpm in 5th gear I am running 72 mph. Thanks to the kenne bell there is plenty of torque while in 5th :p: ... Here is what my gearing looks like.

1st.... 2.95
2nd... 1.94
3rd.... 1.34
4th.... 1.0
5th.... .56 Axle 4.88 Tire 37"

It is pretty much perfect right now. Its excellent on the street. It works offroad pretty good. Low range 4X4 is Ok and works for now But I will be installing a doubler later which will definately help off road.

I got it on the scale the other day and I was surpised to see I only weighed 4700 exactly without driver. I thought it would be closer to 6000.
I even have about 300lbs of stereo equipment in there lol.
 






My 91 weighed 4700 with me in it leaving a scrap yard. I've taken from that that the pre-2002 Explorers weigh about 4500 pounds.
 






Well its gonna depend on if its a 4 door, 2 door, 4X4, 2wd, or if its a sport model thats gonna be way lighter.....

I have tried to lighten it up a lot removing alot of stuff thats not needed.... but I also have a heavier engine and tires, stereo equip..... So it sounds like your weight is about right.... On the other hand I could have sworn on my life that when my truck was stock I weighed 5180 going over the scale at the mirimar landfill.... that was with me in it. Given that I only weigh 4700 right now I dont see how thats possible though. :rolleyes:
It will be interesting to see how much it weighs when I get done Linking it with my full size axles and Putting on a Full Fiberglass Body kit.
 






We just need to scrap some metal every once in a while, to get accurate weight measurements.
 












Im so happy this cold weather has brought on some some new best times and infact my new best time is almost 3 tenths faster just from a 10 degree temp change! i went to the track last night and it was around 54*. I ran three 10.4s in a row then i ran this!!!

Oh, I see how it is! Your gonna make me go and beat you out for MY third place arent you! Thats it! Im getting ready for spring with a couple more mods and finally putting my mustang rims on for a rerun.:D

lol nice ^_^ INFORM THE MEN! THE CONTEST FOR THIRD HAS BEGUN!!! lol by spring i will have slowed down a bit from the temp but hopefully by then i will have my shift kit or my headers. after headers shift kit and one of jason's famous tunes along with my current mods im hoping to run around 9.6 or so ^_^
