10 flat? even when im running 10.34 on just intake and exhaust?
oh and the 9.6 im saying mabe on a cold day like when i ran the 10.34 around 54 degrees lol i mean my previous best was 10.61 so it took almost 3 tenths off my time. using the programer to reset my first to second shift point to 4600 or so and then the add in hp and such i figured it would run close to 9.6 on a cold day.

Yeah, my last run was about those temps, with them mods in my signature, to loose nearly a second in the 1/8th will take a lot more than headers and a tune, I gained about 9 tenths in the 1/4 with headers and a tune. The only way I could see you getting into the 9's with just those is if you took a whole bunch of weight out. On a previous trip to the track I picked up about 3 tenths by taking out a lot of the interior. My thread will give you an idea of around where you could look to be running with what mods.

Shoot, let me load you down with the food from a food drive next year. That weight adds up fast, my rear leveling air shocks help a bunch with that.

We're only carrying a 1000+ pound disadvantage to most Mustangs, these are not fast vehicles. I'll be happy to see 13's, and 11's with a lot of boost.

I agree 10 flat would be a good goal. 9.6 is like a high fourteen second car and our trucks are way to heavy. With our weight disadvantage an increase in power will show less than on a lighter car of course. Look at techieman33's time he is in the mid to high 15 range and he is at about ten flat. :)

Lol, I don't think ricers will be a problem with headers and a good tune from James (not Jason by the way) I've taken a couple of camaro's off the line and then they just edge me out at the 1/8th, and then leave me in their dust cloud:( Though if your racing from a stop light you would have already let off by then anyway and given said camaro a bunch of crap about loosing to an suv:D

man my bad i can believe ive been saying jason lol srry bout that james from a fellow james (my real name is james dean believe it or not lol)

2002 Explorer Sport V6 4X4
108,000miles
bone stock
1000ft altitude , 72deg , 20mph headwind (atlanta dragway)
4204 lbs with me in it and 1/4 tank
16.6@82
2.44 60ft

That sounds good. It is amazing that these small SUV's weigh that much though.

Thanks!
nothing small about these vehicles! :)
Park it next to a full size Bronco from the past and its almost as big.

Heck a new Ranger is bigger than an f150 was back in the 70s!

does anyone know of a stock Sport 4.0 running in the 15s?
I ask because I drove my best freinds wife 02 Sport ,its bone stock, barebones (no options) and 2wd.
Not only is it 400lbs lighter but it will walk away from my Sport like its standing still and I ran a mid 16.
I have little doubt that with the right tires and track I could get it theirs in the very high 15s. Has anyone already done this?
Just curious..

Headed to the Las Vegas track here in a half hour for another run!!! :) Last race of the year and the new year starts on 1-23-09. Gotta love Vegas barely a month between seasons. Main goal is to see if and how my ET changed with the 4006 T-Case conversion. Will be running exact same weight (full system still in, half tank by the time I get there, laptop and movies, and cooler with drinks and food) Want it that way out of personal curiosity! Will post when I get home on what she runs! :D

New time!!
R/T -- .129
60' -- 2.478
330' -- 7.319
1/8 -- 11.402
MPH -- 60.27
1000' -- 14.925
E.T. -- 17.948
MPH -- 73.93

So the 4406 did allow a hair more to get to the ground. The ET went down a tenth and a half! :) The MPH was a hair slower but it went into third right after the 1000' so that's why it was down I forgot to hold it in 2nd. That run was same weight and conditions as before. All other passes where with passengers and I held in 2nd and ran a 18.105 @ 73.63 and a 18.170 @ 73.86. But last night a lame import car dropped his trans onto the track = wait to clean up then another import blew engine Crank in pieces on the track = wait to clean up. Then a bullet bike lost traction going into 2nd and that was very ugly. Laid it down hard and slid down the track and bike slid and was easy 100 yards farther than him. He did walk into the ambulance though. Anyways was a slow night for lots of passes but fun none the less!

New best ^_^

R/T: 0.272
60': 2.230
330': 6.623
1/8: 10.282
MPH: 67.375

Now this was with 20 mph winds coming opposite direction and almost no grip so ill most likely have a better time with the same mods later on in the spring.
