Oil Chnage ..What oil to use?

Hi,
I am just about to change the oil on my 97 4.0 SOHC
it's done 138,000 miles

I do have to top off the oil every now and then but nothing major.

when i do the oil change what oil would you recommend i use with that many Miles?

I use Valvoline Max life 5W30. It has worked well for me for awhile.

Mobil One synth gets my vote. They sell it in 5 quart jugs now for about $19, go 3500-5K between changes, and use a Motocraft filter you will be in great shape.

As far back as I could remember, I've always used Castrol GTX (5W30).

So, thudson, did you finally find a place that will do your oil change or are you gonna change it yourself?

I recommend a full synthetic, either Mobil 1 or Amsoil.
