Ok
Yesterday was very fruitful
I got the extended brake lines in, and brakes bled.
Power steering is all bled out I think, and filled-
Superlift Limit straps are installed. I don't really like how they use the sway bar endlinks as the lower anchor point, I will need to pack a nut and bolt to disconnect the front sway bar--no big deal I guess.
I also got my bump stops replaced with new ford ones, and, installed them on their fancy little drop tubes which Evan made.
I also re booted the passenger side cv axle as the one which was there was weirded out.
While removing the front diff I must have nicked the driver side axle seal so it got replaced also. I had to buy a quart of fancy diff fluid to top it back off, as a bit drains when you remove it, I don't care how careful you are.
I figured since the truck was all apart I would do these little rainy day things--
oh yeah-this rain has just got to stop.
Right now all that remains is to install the skid plate, and tires. I had the skid mounted, but really need to drill and tap 2 more holes in the frame to secure it better.
I let the engine run for about 30 minutes and spotted no leaks or drips, so that is a good sign. I had to wrap it up right at this point last night, as we were running late for dinner at a friends house, and, I had to clean up. I really was trying to drive it there--it's open cut outs until I get the sliced driver side tube welded--ha ha
Maybe today.
