OMG NOOOO!! can I drop my oil pan???

Throw a big sheet of plastic over the entire rig, lay 2x4's on top of the plastic on the ground all the way around the Turdle. Stick a small heater under the truck. Your good to go!

We did this method with an entire exterior side of a home in -27 degree weather and built a brick chimney, 40 ft high.

GET ER DONE!!

Did you get to watch (hear)?

Dang filters decided to work at work today:( I'll have to wait until I get home to watch.

Wow! That is serious sound! Excellent

Yes I did when I got home from work last night.

It sounds a lot better than all the rusatngs I've heard.:D

Ok
Yesterday was very fruitful
I got the extended brake lines in, and brakes bled.
Power steering is all bled out I think, and filled-

Superlift Limit straps are installed. I don't really like how they use the sway bar endlinks as the lower anchor point, I will need to pack a nut and bolt to disconnect the front sway bar--no big deal I guess.
I also got my bump stops replaced with new ford ones, and, installed them on their fancy little drop tubes which Evan made.

I also re booted the passenger side cv axle as the one which was there was weirded out.
While removing the front diff I must have nicked the driver side axle seal so it got replaced also. I had to buy a quart of fancy diff fluid to top it back off, as a bit drains when you remove it, I don't care how careful you are.

I figured since the truck was all apart I would do these little rainy day things--

oh yeah-this rain has just got to stop.
Right now all that remains is to install the skid plate, and tires. I had the skid mounted, but really need to drill and tap 2 more holes in the frame to secure it better.

I let the engine run for about 30 minutes and spotted no leaks or drips, so that is a good sign. I had to wrap it up right at this point last night, as we were running late for dinner at a friends house, and, I had to clean up. I really was trying to drive it there--it's open cut outs until I get the sliced driver side tube welded--ha ha

Maybe today.

Way to go Jon! Almost there.

And go ahead and send some of that rain east. It's been a while, and the grass is hurting!

It's alive!

Tonight the Mounty moved, under it's own power, down the road.

The uncorked exhaust really is an eye opener for anyone standing around. Nice of me to go for a shakedown drive at 7:45 Pm on Sunday.

LOL, good neighbors. I took my first car for a new exhaust with open headers on Monday morning to a muffler shop, 25+ miles away. Good times, a 351 Cleveland with long tube headers is loud.

Two Mounties back on the road the same weekend . Mine was a lot less involved though.

Well im about to tow my explorer up to the shop put it on the rack and pull the oil pan ive lost oil pressure again first time a can of sea foam in the oil and letting it set with the drain plug out saved me this time ive got to go internal so the Dana 35 is gonna have to be dropped in order to pull the oil pan but luckily ive got a scissor rack :P makes life much easier

Oh, be sure to check the Cam Posistion sensor drive gear first. It may have sheared loose, which will drop the drive to the oil pump.

Well i did it took me about 6.5 hours including cleaning time my engine was gumed up to the max unfortunately after driving it...it seems to be stopping up again looks like its gonna take some doing to get it all cleaned out hopefully im gonna drain the oil tomorrow and dump a gallon of carb. cleaner in it and see if it wont eat the stuff out

Use an engine flush product, they are common in all parts stores.
