That's awesome Jeff! Great job on it, it looks really good.

This one of the cleanest and nicest swaps I ever seen in my life. Really. Looks very expensive too. I wish I can do something like that in my Explorer 2002 (4.0).....Can you tell roughly about how much will have to expend in such project? Thanks a lot. And thanks for the link you sent me last nite.

I was informed yesterday, this car now resides in Tennessee, with yet again a new owner (stored for the winter right now).

Purchased off ebay for approx $23,000, the new owner; I was told has been a customer of LRS since the beginning, and has been keeping his eye on the car, he apparently is the person this car needs to be owned by.

I'm sure I will here from him sometime in the very near future, as I have many things he probably will want for the car, such as the original hand made service/owners manual, that includes all the wiring schematics I drew up for it, along with some other things.

Apparently the car has been hardly driven, on 15k miles on the clock.

I do look forward to this phone call.

Jeff

Awesome. Its always good to see a project like this wind up in the hands of someone who will cherish it.

Ok, here we are some six years later, will start off with the only things I know about the history of this car.

Shannon sold the car, and it went to a guy named Tom whom owns a company that does a lot of LT1's and LS1's, I guess he thought is was a cool car and made the purchace, although he make substantial change to the car during his ownership.

Maroon stripes removed, cage cut out of the car, all the guages removed and changed, and the interior is a hybrid of 1984, and mostly 2003 Cobra, these are the pictures I got from Tom:

OK, now since Tom owned the car, it atleast past hands to one other owner, at minimum, the only way to confim this is to talk to the ebay seller that the new owner Rich got the car from.

Rich now owns this car and I have talked with him a few times on the phone, very nice older gentleman that has a love like me, of the rare and oddball Fords.

Rich bought the car off EvilBay, and has brought into his collection, after talking with him it has come to my attention that, the title has never been switched over since Shannon first sold it back in the day, and the car has had some other mods done to it, who did them we're not quite sure.

The K-member and lower control arms, and regular springs have been changed, the factory orginal fuse box and chassis harness has been changed, an oil seperator has been added up by the wiper motor, the brakes have been changed and the most obvious are the 1994-95 Cobra wheels have been installed, the brake cooling duct work has been removed, an aluminum coolant tank had been swapped out, the Optima battery has been also been swapped out, a sticker has been added to the ashtray door and a plaque in place on the passenger side of the dash panel where guages resided, differen Koni double adjustable struts, the full size spare is gone, can't tell if the fuel cell is still in the car or not, although he did get the booklet with all the recipts of the build project, and a few little parts, that were removed, we also think the car may have been reprogrammed too but can't quite confirm this at this point.

The other day, Rich, per conversation on the phone, was very kind and sent me pictures of the GT350 as it is today, if look very closely just like in the pictures I got from Tom above you can tell this IS the car I built for the 40th Anniversery that Shannon and his company attened, along with I.

So here's what you have been waiting for, I was a little crushed by these, but, it's ok, it now resides in a place where it will be loved and taken care of.

Much Thanks goes to Shannon @ 50RESTO for letting me know about the new owner of the car, and putting me in touch with him, Thanks Brother!!!

Jeff

oh, that car should have remained original. its so devalued now that someone changed the color of the stripe, and added different wheels!
(someone whispers something)
.....oh there was more changed to it? i never noticed (I'm sure that would be a typical conversation at a certain mustang web site).
just kidding jeff, this must be like finding a long lost relative (something both your and i know a lot about). in a way it is kind of sad that they did do some of the changes to it since your hands where in it. i guess they wanted to make it more streetable. it does still look real good however, and at least it has been maintained, and not in the hands of a punk kid who's only goal would be to add a distorting stereo to it and a crap load of led lights.

Another Beautiful Build I missed (many years ago). Stang still looks pristine. Nice work Jeff!
