@Chris1973 That is probably from one of two factors. You'll have to explain the actual effects; elaborate on "loss in power" and "sloppy start" for us a bit. Is it choking out after starting? May be stalling under heavy acceleration? Does it crank all day but only start once in a while? Does it idle rough? Run high temperature?
"Loss in power" and "Sloppy start" could both be unrelated to the code. I replaced my downstream O2 sensor when I had that code, and it fixed the problem I was having (faulty sensor thought it was running lean, started injecting too much fuel, choking the engine on accel, low-RPM rough idle) at the time. Since then, the code has come back, but the symptoms aren't the same.
Explain the problem just a bit more, and you'll be swarmed with responses and helpful suggestions.

Check for a vacuum leak on bank one ,check if a vac hose is off. You can used carb cleaner or brake cleaner. Also look on the bank one exhaust manifold for a leak.Need advice.the map sensor is new.what are the next steps to check on this cod?

Check vacuum lines especially the one for the vacuum ball under the passenger fender liner also make sure none of the plastic lines are crackedCode is for a lean bank one.causes loss in power a maybe sloppy start .

It starts but it shoots real low on the rpm then it idols at 1000 for a few.power is down and I am getting a lot of shifting issues.feels like the truck is jumping at 35 to 45 mph.and it shifts alright but wants to downshift alot.@Chris1973 That is probably from one of two factors. The truck starts all right. But it bogs down to like 3,000 RPM like it's going to stall and it kind of idles it a thousand for a while. It loss of power and it's just really really strange it seems to shift all right but it bucks at about 35 to 45 miles per hour and it seems like it wants to downshift a lotWe need way more info

For this type of code it is very helpful to see what the long and short term fuel trim readings are doing. I'll second the others, check for a vacuum leak, that little ball in the right front wheel well (behind the plastic liner) could be responsible. Checking the more detailed computer logs will help, even if you don't need them to solve the problem, getting into that will break you into a world of technical design you may have overlooked before.
TL;DW The CEL is only triggered if an ideal fuel/air mixture cannot be achieved within the parameters of a properly functioning EFI system. You've either got good sensors detecting a real problem, or a faulty sensor is causing the EFI to do the opposite of what the engine code says. My experience says your engine sounds more like it's flooding than starving, so make sure all your sensors are clean and plugged in correctly, clear the codes, and start fresh. If the problem persists, then do the harder stuff.

Here is what to look for if you have a 95-01 with cold ac, and hot heat, but it only blows from the defrost vent. IF YOU HAVE COLD AND / OR WARM AIR BLOWING FROM DEFROST DUCT ONLY THIS THREAD IS FOR YOU!!! I will immediately delete all ac cooling questions without answer-let's stay on track...

@Chris1973 Here's the little fella you're looking for, in the middle of this pic. It's right behind the bumper under the right fender, your fender will look slightly different when you remove the liner because mine is trimmed like 3 inches. If it's not there, then you've found the problem!
For reference, here's a pic to show where the ball should be in relation to the upper control arm and the shock absorber. The ball is on the far right.

@Chris1973 Any updates? I know life happens, but I'm a bit curious as to what exactly the "thing" is. Is it stock? Aftermarket? Maybe leftovers from somebody else's hack job? Pics will help us to know. Also, if it's got a part number on it, that might help too.
