Anyone know where I can get a good deal having my two fiberglass fenders and a grill painted in CO??? I'd like to get this done, but need a good deal or I'll have to just save up for it....

Maaco :D I've been looking for awhile and all the places that want to do it, want to charge a LOT to do it...if you find anywhere, let me know

In this case Maaco may be a good choice if you don't mind the color's not totaly 100% matching up. Most of their other jobs are "paint over the old" deals. Where if there is paint there, rust, or even dirt they just paint over it. No real prep is done. The other possibility is to get a gun and the paint and do it yourself. :)

I might know someone that will beable to give a good price on painting them. They are down here in the Springs. I will see if I can get a hold of this guy today and I will let you know. I used to work for him, and he was teaching me how to paint so I know he does good quality work. Oh yeah his speacilty is fiberglass bodies for race cars, motorcycles and such.

Here is a link to some of his work

Ok I need to know a few things. Heath or Jared do you want both sides of the fenders painted? It will cost more but I just want to make sure so I can tell him what you want done. Heath if you could possibly give me your paint code off your truck so we know what type of paint we are looking for that would be great.

Well I just got back from his shop and he said he has no more room to take anymore projects on. Its summertime so he is booked up for a few months. Sorry about that.

Okay, I looked in the door, and my best guess is RC, its the burgandy red they used in 96... It dosen't have to match perfectly, I'll get the whole truck done again later... But for now Tara won't let me put white fenders on the truck... I'd like the backsides of the fenders to be painted black.. Just so its not the bare fiberglass back there... Or red is fine too, whatever's cheaper... I also have a limited Grill that I want painted the same color... And if its not to expensive the mirrors, but mainly the fenders and the grill...

Thanks...

I'm gonna end up painting the whole truck after I get my fenders, which won't be for a little while longer anyways...

Thanks for lookin though Joe, even if he was busy... BTW do you have anymore info on that guy that was going to build a rear tire carrier/bumper?

Well we were halfway done with mine still are but he had a bad work accident and had a steel beam crush his hand so he is waiting till his had heals before he will do anymore welding. So its still sitting there half done.

Well I'm gonna paint mine myself. I mean geesh they are fiberglass fenders how hard can it be? I hads my truck oainted about 2 years ago and I have a pint of the paint they used (dark blue metallic). My mom has a spray gun for painting furniture, it was like $1500 and has never been used (thanks dad for the m-day present) So when I finally getr my Autofab fenders I;m gonna spray tehm myself.......good idea, bad idea?

Oh and for the back of the fenders I will be using black spray paint, or possibly herculiner.
