pcm problem

I replaced my pcm in my 99 Ford Explorer but now the pats wont let it start.The theft light is throwing a 1-6 code.Do I need a Ford dealer to reprogram my pcm?I also only have one key thanks

you could either pay a dealer to program the PCM, or, spend a little more and get an xcal device and have the pats function removed, while also having an economy or performance tune. The 3rd tune file could be used for a anti theft "dead truck" tune.

You would also get a useful tool, as the xcal will read trouble codes, and perform live data logging when used with a laptop.
