Power Steering Issue

I lost power steering after my PS fluid leaked out so I had to drive 30 miles to get home with no PS, I fixed leak in the line but now it feels kind of rough when turning wheel before driving off. I just wanted to see if any others had same issue or what it could be. it never felt that way before leak.

You most likely have some air in the lines. With the engine running, turn the wheel from one side to the other quite a few times. This may not take care of it completely and you may have to drive for a while for it to work it's way out.

I hope so I thought I may have damaged something while driving home without PS.

the thing that may get ruined is the p/s pump. running it w/out fluid can damage the seal and even seize the shaft and break it off.
